How to make a Irish Cream Cold Brew

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold brew coffee (strongly brewed, chilled)

  • 2–3 tbsp Irish cream syrup (homemade or store-bought — see below)

  • Ice cubes

  • 2 tbsp heavy cream or half-and-half (for the creamy swirl)

  • Optional: a splash of real Irish cream liqueur (for an adults-only upgrade)

Homemade Irish Cream Syrup (optional but epic):

  • ½ cup sugar

  • ½ cup water

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ tsp instant espresso powder

  • Pinch of salt

  • 2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Make the Syrup (if going DIY):

    • In a saucepan, whisk sugar, water, and cocoa powder over medium heat until smooth.

    • Stir in espresso powder, vanilla, salt, and condensed milk.

    • Let cool and store in a jar.

  2. Assemble the Cold Brew:

    • Fill a tall glass with ice.

    • Pour in the cold brew.

    • Add 2–3 tbsp of the Irish cream syrup (or liqueur if you’re going bold).

  3. The Creamy Finish:

    • Slowly drizzle heavy cream over the top for that cascading swirl.

    • Stir gently, admire, then drink like you’re sitting in a Dublin café.
